  • 2 yeast
  • 1 ½ tsp sugar
  • 4 ½ cups flour
  • 2 cups warm water

Sauces & oils

  • 1 ½ tbsp vegetable oil
Spices & seasonings (1): salt
  • ¾ tsp salt

How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Sift half the flour.

  2. Mix with salt and yeast in a big mixing bowl, and slowly add warm water till the mixture forms a stiff dough.

  3. Add more sifted flour till you have stiff enough dough to knead.

  4. Lightly flour the work surface.

  5. Knead the dough for 10 min until it is smooth and elastic.

  6. Place it in a greased bowl.

  7. Place the bowl warmly for 40-50 min until it has doubled.

  8. You know your dough is ready when you poke finger, and the indentation remains.

  9. Turn the oven on to 425°F.

  10. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.

  11. Roll each into a fist size ball.

  12. Place on a greased sheet pan.

  13. Place in warm place again for a further 40 min or again till the dough has doubled in size.

  14. Place in the oven’s center.

  15. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden rolls sound hollow when tapped.
