How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Heat 1 ½ tablespoons of vegetable oil.

  2. Do it over medium heat in a wok or large pan.

  3. Wait until the oil is hot.

  4. Add the garlic.

  5. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds, until it smells good but not burnt.

  6. Add your minced pork to your pan plus break it up with a spatula.

  7. Mix-fry till the pork is fully cooked and brown, about 2-3 minutes.

  8. Stir in the fermented soy beans.

  9. Cook for another minute, mixing it well with the pork.

  10. Toss in the cut morning glory.

  11. Mix-fry for 2-3 min to retain its bright green colour plus crisp texture.

  12. Check your seasoning plus adjust using fish sauce or sugar if needed.

  13. Move to a serving dish.

  14. Serve right away with steamed rice.

On the side: Green salad

A side we added to round out the meal. It is not part of the original recipe.

  2. Put it all in a bowl and toss with the dressing just before eating.
