  • 13 oz flour
  • 1 ½ cups + 1 tbsp milk
  • ¼ oz instant yeast
  • ⅔ oz sugar
Spices & seasonings (1): salt
  • ¼ oz salt

How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Place the flour in a large bowl.

  2. Add the yeast and sugar.

  3. If your milk is cold make sure.

  4. Heat it to lukewarm.

  5. Mix your flour mix bit by bit with the milk till you have a smooth batter.

  6. Add the salt.

  7. Mix using a wooden spoon till your batter is smooth and liquidy.

  8. Cover with a clean tea towel.

  9. Leave in a warm spot for around an hour to rise.

  10. Heat your deep fryer or add your oil to a large pot.

  11. Your oil should be t 180˚C (350˚F).

  12. Keep going for best results.

  13. Before starting mix your batter through plus scoop your batter using two spoons or using an ice cream scoop.

  14. Let it drop into the oil.

  15. It's easiest to do this if you dip spoons or scoop in the oil before dipping into the batter.

  16. That way it will slide of your spoons easily.

  17. Don't over crowd your fryer to prevent your oil cooling down too fast and everything sticking together.

  18. When one side is golden it usually turns around to your other side automatically.

  19. If not help it along using two forks.

  20. Take the balls out when golden.

  21. Leave to drain on piece of kitchen paper.
