  • 6 oz milk
  • ¾ oz sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • To taste dulce de leche

  • 1 vanilla pod

How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. For your caramel place 1 ¾ oz of sugar in frying pan without any fat plus melt on medium heat.

  2. Try not to mix using a spoon, but swirl the pan itself.

  3. Let melt till you have an amber color plus sugar is fully melted.

  4. Fill the bottom of four flan containers using it.

  5. Caramel will harden right away, so you need to be fast.

  6. My containers yield about ½ cup each.

  7. Turn the oven on to 300°F plus look for casserole or container all four flan containers fit into.

  8. Heat milk using ⅔ oz of sugar plus the cut and scraped out vanilla pod.

  9. The milk does not need to boil, needs to be heated.

  10. Take out vanilla pod after some minutes.

  11. While that cooks, stir the egg yolks and eggs, try not to mixed in any air in it.

  12. Them pour milk-mix in egg-mix and again only stir very.

  13. Pour into prepared flan containers.

  14. Place these into your casserole or container.

  15. Boil water.

  16. Pour the water into the large casserole.

  17. Be sure not to touch the flan mix.

  18. Place on middle rack in the oven.

  19. Let bake for about 35-40 minutes.

  20. An inserted toothpick should come out clean.

  21. Let cool inside your container for an hour before transferring to your fridge.

  22. Chill overnight.

  23. The next day release the rim.

  24. Turn upside down on a plate.

  25. Dish up using some dulce de leche on the side.
