  • 1 ½ tbsp baking powder
  • 2 ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups milk

  • 2 tsp salt

How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: sugar, salt, baking powder and flour in a stand mixer bowl.

  2. Drizzle in the milk with the dough hook on low.

  3. Continue to knead till a small ball of dough is formed.

  4. Remove your dough from your bowl, oil the bowl lightly.

  5. Return your ball of dough to the bowl.

  6. Cover.

  7. Put it to one side to rest for 15-30 minutes.

  8. Divide the ball of dough in 12 portions, in roughly even lumps.

  9. Heat a little amount of oil in a large, flat pan.

  10. Flatten a ball of dough using your palm and work it in a a bit larger round using your back of hand, leaving it a thick round around 4 inches (4") in diameter.

  11. Place in the hot pan.

  12. Repeat using as many rounds as will fit in pan.

  13. After 3-4 minutes, when the bottom is slightly browned in places, flip.

  14. Heat for another 1-2 min on the second side.
