Fresh & other

  • Bunch mint Shopping tip: Fresh mint leaves.

  • 4 pita bread
  • ½ iceberg lettuce
  • 1 red onion

How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Heat grill to high.

  2. Season the lamb.

  3. Grill for 2 mins on every side until browned, but still very rare.

  4. While that cooks, mix the half of the mint, oregano and seasoning in one of your tubs of yogurt, smother this over your lamb.

  5. Return to your grill for another 2-3 mins till your yogurt is blistered plus the meat is cooked to your liking.

  6. Leave your meat to rest on board for some mins while you toast the pittas.

  7. Shred your lettuce and thinly slice the red onion.

  8. Mix the rest of the mint in the second tub of yogurt.

  9. Thickly slice the meat and stuff in your pitta bread using the salad and minted yogurt, squeeze.

  10. Do it over lemon juice before tucking.

  11. Do it in, if you like.

On the side: Steamed vegetables

A side we added to round out the meal. It is not part of the original recipe.
