How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Peel and wash plantains.

  2. Pat them dry.

  3. Cut them in one and a half inch slices.

  4. Heat oil to deep fry plantains.

  5. Toss in plantains in hot oil so they are submerged.

  6. Fry them for about 7 minutes.

  7. Place them on paper towel for around five minutes.

  8. You don't want them.

  9. Do it to be too dry.

  10. Press the plantain slices into cups using your citrus squeezer.

  11. Place on paper towel or tray.

  12. Place cups in your deep fryer or sauce pan using enough oil to submerge them.

  13. Remove when golden.

On the side: Green salad

A side we added to round out the meal. It is not part of the original recipe.

How to make it (10 min)
  1. Rinse the salad greens. Slice the cucumber.
  2. Put it all in a bowl and toss with the dressing just before eating.
