How to make it

Steps in our own plain words.

  1. Before you do anything, freeze bacon slices that way you're ready.

  2. Do it to prep, it'll so much easier to chop.

  3. Wash the potatoes.

  4. Cut medium dice into square pieces.

  5. To prevent any browning.

  6. Place your already cut potatoes in a bowl filled using water.

  7. Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in large pan over medium-high heat in the meantime.

  8. Tilt the pan so the oil spreads.

  9. Wait until the oil is hot.

  10. Drain the potatoes.

  11. Add to the pan.

  12. Season with Old Bay as needed, pepper and salt.

  13. Cook for 10 minutes, until brown.

  14. Stir the potatoes often.

  15. If needed, add tablespoon more of oil.

  16. Chop up the bacon.

  17. Add to the potatoes.

  18. Your bacon will start to render plus the fat will begin to further heat the potatoes.

  19. Toss it up a bit.

  20. The bacon will take 5-6 min to crisp.

  21. Wait until the bacon is cooked.

  22. Turn the heat down to medium-low.

  23. Add the minced garlic and toss.

  24. Season when more.

  25. Add dried or fresh parsley.

  26. Control heat as needed.

  27. Let the garlic cook until it smells good, about one minute.

  28. Before serving, drizzle over your maple syrup and toss.

  29. Let that heat another min, giving the potatoes a caramelized effect.

  30. Dish up in a warm bowl using a sunny side up egg.
