- 8 oz tamarind pulp
- ¾ cup sugar
How to make it
Steps in our own plain words.
-
Add tamarind pulp plus ½ cup granulated sugar to a bowl.
-
Mash together with a spoon or fork.
-
Take little amounts of the tamarind and sugar mix.
-
Shape them in little balls by rolling them in your hands.
-
Make them your size of a marble or a bit bigger, as you like.
-
Add the rest of the sugar to flat surface, like plate or a sheet pan.
-
Roll the tamarind balls in granulated sugar till they're well-coated.
-
Eat the tamarind balls right away, or you can let them set for few hours or overnight.
-
Allowing them to set will give them firmer texture and more crystallized sugar coating.
